We are seeking a Product Packaging Designer for Swix, with expertise in both graphic design and structural packaging design to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our products stand out on the shelf while maintaining functionality, sustainability, and cost-efficiency.
You will collaborate with product managers, marketing teams, and external suppliers to create innovative packaging solutions that align with our brand identity and resonate with customers. The primary focus is on designing packaging and labels for ski waxes, tools, ski poles, and spare parts.
Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design
Create packaging artwork aligned with Swix brand guidelines and messaging. Ensure designs are clear, localized, engaging, and print-ready.

Structural Packaging Design
Develop innovative, functional, and sustainable packaging solutions. Prototype and test designs, ensuring scalability and compliance with global regulations.

Collaboration & Project Management
Collaborate closely with Product Development, Marketing, and Sales to align packaging with product goals, manage multiple projects, and stay updated on industry trends and innovations.

Quality and Standards
Perform quality checks to ensure consistency and compliance. Maintain organized archives of packaging specifications and designs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Packaging Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience designing product packaging either graphic or structural design or preferably both.
- Proven portfolio showcasing creative, functional, and visually appealing packaging designs.
- Experience from the sports industry or packaging of similar products are beneficial.
- Proficiency in design software: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and 3D design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD, or similar).
- Experience in creating dielines, mock-ups, and print-ready files.
- Knowledge of print production processes, including color management and finishing options.
- Strong understanding of packaging materials, sustainability practices, and global packaging regulations.
- Experience designing for retail, e-commerce, and POS environments.
- Proficiency in English is essential, knowledge of Norwegian or other languages is a plus.
